There are a lot of people who — probably somehow, under some circumstance — have had the thought that they're not important or that they were a mistake. There is no such thing as a mistake.
They are absolutely, unquestionably not a mistake
Now, they can make a mistake.
They could make a bad choice.
But they can't be a mistake.
When a person laughs, their hearts are open. If a heart is open, a positive deposit can be made. A positive deposit can lead to a positive change.
Funny For the Forgotten helps enable and cover the costs of comedians and performers going to shelters and prisons around the country. Some of these places don't even have the equipment to facilitate such an event, so Funny For the Forgotten assists in providing all the necessary equipment. When the performer leaves, the equipment is donated to that facility so other speakers can come and bring their talent and skills there as well.
No matter the circumstance, we want to give people an opportunity to hope and heal through laughter.
